A useful journal for this craft needs fewer adjectives and more columns:

1. Instrument and direction
2. Planned stop and planned target
3. Planned R at entry
4. Realised R at exit
5. Exit reason (stop, target, time, discretion)
6. One sentence on whether discretion violated the plan
